The Rotary Club of Makino Charitable Trust

Each year, members of Makino Rotary undertake fundraising activities to provide funds for the Rotary Club of Makino Charitable Trust to support many individuals and organisations.

All grant decisions are at the discretion of the Makino Rotary Board and Trustees of the Rotary Club of Makino Charitable Trust. The general criteria for allocating grants is that they must meet one of the following;

  • An individual applicant lives in or attends school in the Manawatu District.
  • A charitable organisation applicant provides charitable services in the Manawatu District.
  • The grant is related to a Rotary programme or project.

  • Feilding High School sport teams
  • Rotary International Youth Exchange
  • ProDrive
  • Grants to attend Rotary Youth Leadership Award
  • Grants to students to attend RYPEN
  • The Rotary Foundation - PolioPlus
  • Manchester House to provide clothing to families in need
  • Manchester House to provide funds for School Uniforms
  • MHVC Trust
  • Riding For Disabled
  • Rotary Club of Otaki - Health Camp
  • Sir Peter Blake Trust
  • Books to Solomons
  • Dictionaries in Schools

To apply for a grant, write us a letter explaining what you want to do and why you want to do it.

Recipients of grants may be asked to give a talk to one of our club meetings on their organisation or their experience at a funded event.
